New Room, New Paint

Well I officially moved into my new room and I had been meaning to repaint the walls since I didn't like the current blue walls. Today I finally painted my walls! Although I haven't finished yet, I am excited to see how my new room will turn out! I hope to make it Simply Me! The colors I chose were a very soft pink and a creamy almost white yellow (just like the colors of the background of my blog). *cross my fingers that it WON'T look like an ice cream shop* :)

The Mystery Bird

So remember the post on this bird that I initially thought was a pine cone?

Animal control said they have never encountered this type of bird ever! I guess we will never know but this is an awesome discovery :)

Cheremoya

Song of the day: Jaymay - Sea Green, See Blue

So my dad just picked off one of the largest cherimoya I have ever seen today! My dad has a cherimoya tree in our backyard and this year it grew a lot of this fruit. For those who have not heard of cherimoya, it is a exotic fruit that is fleshy and soft, sweet, white in color, with a sherbet like texture. For those who ever wondered, I am Taiwanese. Cherimoya grows in Taiwan and is a very popular fruit. Despite the way the fruit looks like on the outside, green and kind of bumpy, cherimoya taste so sweet and when perfectly chilled it is the best healthy spring day snack! :) For more information click Cherimoya

You can buy some cherimoya at the chinese market (like 99 Ranch Market )when it is in season.

Here are some pictures of my dad's home grown cherimoya :) Mmmmm!
