Quote of the Week

Life is not a straight line; you will continually be changing while you prepare yourself at the same time.  We need to remember the way real life works.  You make plans, you have accidents; you move straight ahead, you take a detour; you screw up, you recover; you try hard, you get lucky; you carefully make a five-year plan, you succeed because you improvise.  You keep on proposing and recomposing your life.

Katrina's Gallery Painting Brings Life To My Soul :)

Hi everyone! I have been drawing since I was around 11 years old, I love drawing everything from sketches, to color pencils, to pastels, to watercolor, to acrylics to oil paintings. Here are some pictures of my oil painting/acrylic art work that I have collected over time :)

Personally I love to draw scenery's

Peaceful Water On An Autumn Day
This is done by pastels :)

Scenic Mountains

I think this one I painted with Acrylics

Usually with Oil Paintings or Acrylic Paintings you are supposed to look at the pictures from afar for a more whole look.

This is actually a place my parents visited in China and they loved it and asked me to draw this from a picture they took

This is on a HUGE canvas, took me 3 months to finish this painting with Oil Painting.
This is one of my most cherished paintings (not because its the biggest) but because it's a painting of the view looking out of my backyard :) I live on a mountain so when i look out and down, this is what I would see

This was the largest painting I ever done on a 7-8 feet canvas!

This is a watercolor painting, I really liked drawing watercolor because the painting would come out so pretty and with a calm effect

I called this one: Bridge Over Troubled Waters

This picture was drawn with soft pastels and oil pastels

Title: Colors of the Forest

Another one of my cherished pictures, I took a picture of my backyard one early morning and was inspired by the thick fog that covered the entire sky

View of Backyard on a foggy morning day

Title: Modern Trees

This was done out of watercolor
Absolutely one of my FAVORITE painting

Title: The Boldness of the Sea

Done by acrylics
Title: Roaring Waters into a Sudden Stream

Oil painting
Title: Perfect Summer Day

Watercolor

I love this painting, I hang this by my kitchen :)

THIS ONE IS THE PAINTING THAT TOOK ME THE LONGEST!!! 3-4 MONTHS
Yet this is my 2nd largest oil painting that is done on a HUGE canvas (around 6 ft), and my most cherished painting.
Title: My Secret Paradise

Growing up I was a HUGE fan of Lilo and Stitch (mostly just Stitch) so I drew this to decorate my room :)

*These are just a few, I'll upload more next time! :)

*Sorry about the lighting and color of the painting, I didn't have good lighting when taking these pictures but I hope you enjoyed them! :)

Hello from Norcal!

Sorry I have not been able to post! I was up in Nor Cal for this 4th of July Weekend :) Here are just a few of the things I did:

Redwood National Park

Look how BIG the trees are! :)

I walked across the fallen Redwood tree!

Inside a Redwood tree! They are so Humongous!

I went to a berry farm to pick Blueberries (a basketful just $4.00)

They also had blackberries and peaches and all sorts of other fruits!

Here is the Blueberry fields
